VACANCY! LOAN PROCESSOR

At Responsible Lending we are looking for people with a flair for customer service and an eye for detail to join our city centre-based team. We specialise in providing equity release mortgages and can offer the opportunity for you to develop your career within financial services.
You will join our Originations team focusing on processing loan applications, providing administrative support to our Financial Advisers, and going the extra mile servicing our customers.

Working within the Operations Department you will handle incoming and outgoing calls to Financial Advisers and our customers and handle a range of queries focusing on processing loan applications. You will also keep on top of administrative duties relating to customer cases and accounts.

Key Responsibilities for the Loan Processor:

  • Liaise with Financial Advisers, customers, and stakeholders to provide support and correct product/services information (this could include solicitors, valuers, funders etc)
  • Process incoming loan applications and taking ownership in reviewing details provided and using policies and guidelines to determine whether the application meets out criteria
  • Build positive rapport with customers and business professionals alike, providing excellent service in each interaction
  • Provide support for application cases, investigating any discrepancies in information
  • Carry out pre and post valuation checks to ensure the application is within lending criteria
  • Complete all administrative duties relating to enquiries within SLA’s (letter writing, document updating, draw down management etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with all internal procedures and key regulatory rules at each customer interaction (FCA, Data Protection Act)
  • Keep up to date with internal training and e-learning, as well as being pro-active in your own personal development
  • Interpret information contained on customer’s credit report
  • Draft funder referrals on applications that fall outside lending criteria

Essential Skills:

  • B2B experience
  • Strong administrative skills and experience with a focus on analytical work
  • Competent in Microsoft Office packages (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook) and other systems
  • Minimum grade C GCSE level Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Diary management of personal workload
  • Team player

Essential Skills:

  • Experience working in a regulated environment (i.e. banking, finance, insurance)

Systems Analyst

You will work within the Business Change & Support team, and with our external technology partners, to ensure that we are implementing the right solutions that drive the business forward and achieve the successful delivery of our ambitious technology roadmap.

 

Key Responsibilities for the Systems Analyst:

  • Implement rate and product changes.
  • Configure and test new products
  • Run funder and operational reporting using SSMS and Power BI
  • Build new SQL reports and scripts in our Data Warehouse or from the application server
  • Maintain an Data Dictionary complete with entity relationship diagrams
  • Create or amend system automated document templates
  • Amend and configure system rules in accordance to underwriting changes

 

Required Skills and Experience for the Systems Analyst:

  • Knowledge of data modelling and data visualisation tools
  • Strong computer, hardware, software, and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions
  • Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems
  • Working knowledge of a wide variety of programming languages
  • Critical thinking ability with strong problem-solving capacity
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Business Analyst

VACANCY! BUSINESS ANALYST

Responsible Lending, a specialist Equity Release mortgage lender, has an exciting opening for a Business Analyst to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

This position represents a great opportunity for someone with the relevant skill set and experience to take up an important role in our growing business.

You will work within the Business Change & Support team, and with our external technology partners, to ensure that we are implementing the right solutions that drive the business forward and achieve the successful delivery of our ambitious technology roadmap.

As part of a project team, the Business Analyst’s role is to ensure that our solutions are aligned to our business objectives and that our needs are being met. They are involved with a project from beginning to end and are integral to project success.

You will also work collaboratively with the Senior Management Team and other key stakeholders to define and support the delivery of improvement opportunities that are aligned to the business strategy.

 

Business Analyst Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Gather business requirements by successfully engaging various stakeholders across the business
  • Gathering, scoping and writing functional and business requirements for applications.
  • Facilitate the resolution of issues and / or areas of contention between stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into functional requirements for technical teams.
  • Identify risks and take appropriate actions when risks require escalation.
  • Determine interdependencies between tasks and investigate, presenting recommendations for review.
  • Complete post implementation reviews, highlighting lessons learnt and recommend improvements for future projects.
  • You will support the facilitation and delivery of continuous improvement activities across the business.
  • Document ‘As Is’ and ‘To Be’ business processes.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve business processes.
  • Prepare User Acceptance Testing scripts and test case specifications.

 

Business Analyst Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

  • At least two years’ experience of business analysis within a software development environment.
  • Working with a variety of project management approaches, specifically Agile, Scrum, Sprint, Waterfall.
  • Experience of using Lean methodologies to drive tangible business results.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (strong Excel skills an advantage).
  • A clear understanding of Lean & Six Sigma Principles.
  • Experienced in a wide variety of requirements gathering techniques.
  • Experience of understanding and documenting complex business processes and requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly assimilate business knowledge.
  • Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies.
  • Good listening and interpersonal skills, able to deal productively with conflicting views and ambiguity.
