Key Responsibilities for the Systems Analyst:

  • Implement rate and product changes.
  • Configure and test new products
  • Run funder and operational reporting using SSMS and Power BI
  • Build new SQL reports and scripts in our Data Warehouse or from the application server
  • Maintain an Data Dictionary complete with entity relationship diagrams
  • Create or amend system automated document templates
  • Amend and configure system rules in accordance to underwriting changes

 

Required Skills and Experience for the Systems Analyst:

  • Knowledge of data modelling and data visualisation tools
  • Strong computer, hardware, software, and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions
  • Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems
  • Working knowledge of a wide variety of programming languages
  • Critical thinking ability with strong problem-solving capacity
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Finance Assistant

VACANCY! FINANCE ASSISTANT

The Responsible Group is at an exciting point in its evolution. Having recently received investment from a major financial institution, we’re poised for significant growth over the next 3-5 years.

We specialise in providing equity release mortgages and can offer the opportunity for you to develop your career within financial services.

This new, full-time role has been identified to ensure our Finance team is well-positioned to provide support across the Group as we embark on this ambitious journey.

Based in a spacious and modern office in the heart of Plymouth city centre, in addition to the salary on offer, we also provide pension and healthcare benefits.

We’re looking for a hard-working, well-organised person to join our team and take responsibility for the following areas, among others:

  • Purchase ledger processing incorporating;
  • Ensuring the purchase ledger is kept up to date and accurately reflects our supplier liabilities
  • Managing fortnightly supplier payment runs and liaising with the Group’s key budget holders for invoice approvals
  • Quarterly Supplier reconciliations – liaising with suppliers to resolve queries
  • Sales ledger processing incl. posting receipts from customers to ensure the sales ledger accurately reflects amounts due from our customers
  • Assist with month end management accounts preparation and journal posting including;
  • Managing the business’ various cashbooks and reconciling to the accounting systems on a weekly basis
  • Managing the groups corporate cards and reconciling to the accounting system monthly
  • Managing the staff expenses process
  • Managing any general queries within the departments shared Outlook inbox
  • Assisting the Finance team and wider business with any ad-hoc requests

Experience, Attributes & Qualifications:

VACANCY! BUSINESS ANALYST

Responsible Lending, a specialist Equity Release mortgage lender, has an exciting opening for a Business Analyst to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

This position represents a great opportunity for someone with the relevant skill set and experience to take up an important role in our growing business.

You will work within the Business Change & Support team, and with our external technology partners, to ensure that we are implementing the right solutions that drive the business forward and achieve the successful delivery of our ambitious technology roadmap.

As part of a project team, the Business Analyst’s role is to ensure that our solutions are aligned to our business objectives and that our needs are being met. They are involved with a project from beginning to end and are integral to project success.

You will also work collaboratively with the Senior Management Team and other key stakeholders to define and support the delivery of improvement opportunities that are aligned to the business strategy.

 

Business Analyst Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Gather business requirements by successfully engaging various stakeholders across the business
  • Gathering, scoping and writing functional and business requirements for applications.
  • Facilitate the resolution of issues and / or areas of contention between stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into functional requirements for technical teams.
  • Identify risks and take appropriate actions when risks require escalation.
  • Determine interdependencies between tasks and investigate, presenting recommendations for review.
  • Complete post implementation reviews, highlighting lessons learnt and recommend improvements for future projects.
  • You will support the facilitation and delivery of continuous improvement activities across the business.
  • Document ‘As Is’ and ‘To Be’ business processes.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve business processes.
  • Prepare User Acceptance Testing scripts and test case specifications.

 

Business Analyst Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

  • At least two years’ experience of business analysis within a software development environment.
  • Working with a variety of project management approaches, specifically Agile, Scrum, Sprint, Waterfall.
  • Experience of using Lean methodologies to drive tangible business results.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (strong Excel skills an advantage).
  • A clear understanding of Lean & Six Sigma Principles.
  • Experienced in a wide variety of requirements gathering techniques.
  • Experience of understanding and documenting complex business processes and requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly assimilate business knowledge.
  • Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies.
  • Good listening and interpersonal skills, able to deal productively with conflicting views and ambiguity.
